The Alabama Crimson Tide are preparing for the College Football Playoff, so they have bigger fish to fry than the transfer portal.
However, that does not mean Alabama should not be trying to make some moves here, especially now that Michigan State Spartans wide receiver Nick Marsh has entered the portal.
Marsh may very well be one of the most underrated receivers in the country. It hasn't helped that he has played for a poor Michigan State with a rough quarterback situation over his first couple of seasons, but he has still managed to post impressive numbers.
The 6-foot-3 track star caught 41 passes for 649 yards and three touchdowns during his freshman campaign and followed that up by hauling in 59 receptions for 662 yards and six scores this year.
Marsh didn't put together a single 100-yard performance in 2025, but he was consistent, and with Germie Bernard and potentially Isaiah Horton heading into the 2026 NFL Draft, the Crimson Tide could use another wide receiver in their employ.

Ryan Williams has actually been a massive disappointment in Tuscaloosa this season, so bringing in Marsh would help Alabama add some proven depth at the position.
Not only that, but you kind of get the feeling that Marsh is a breakout candidate in the right situation, and the Crimson Tide could provide that for him.
Yes, Alabama will be fielding some very compelling young wide outs in 2026. Lotzeir Brooks is a breakout candidate himself, while Derek Meadows (who stands 6-foot-5) and Rico Scott are also exciting talents who could burst on to the scene next fall.
Plus, the Crimson Tide bagged Cederian Morgan on early national signing day.
But given the discouraging production of Williams and the potential of two key pass-catchers departing, making a push for Marsh would be a fine idea for Kalen DeBoer.
And if Ty Simpson ultimately returns to Alabama next season? Then just imagine the connection he could potentially form with Marsh in addition to the team's other weapons.
We haven't heard anything about the Crimson Tide potentially pursuing Marsh just yet, but it would not surprise me if they decided to make a move for the upcoming junior.
