Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson is making headlines both on and off the field. This week, Simpson announced via social media that he has secured a major NIL partnership with Gatorade, which is huge news for the starting Crimson Tide QB.

While the financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, the significance of the partnership speaks volumes. Represented by QB Reps, Simpson has already built an impressive endorsement portfolio that includes Hugo Boss, EA Sports, Raising Cane’s, Hollister, Panini, and Topps. He is also a key figure in Yea Alabama’s Crimson Tide Outdoors program, which connects players with Alabama’s fan-driven NIL collective.

According to On3, Simpson currently holds an NIL valuation of $948,000.

On the field, Simpson’s play has been nothing short of spectacular since the Tide's season opener loss against Florida State. Against ULM, he delivered a flawless performance, completing 17 of 17 passes for 226 yards and three touchdowns—despite not playing the entire game. The following week, he carried that momentum into a dominant outing against Wisconsin, going 24 of 29 for 382 yards and four touchdowns.

His efficiency, accuracy, and ability to make big plays in crucial moments have not helped Alabama come out on top, but it has also placed his name in Heisman contender conversations.

What once seemed like a long shot for Simpson, has quickly turned into a legitimate discussion point. His rise has been fueled by his ability to command the offense, remain poised under pressure, and deliver incredible throws with consistency. If you watch his film vs. Florida State and compare it with film vs. Wisconsin, Simpson looks like an entirely new quarterback. It has been incredible to witness.

On Saturday, Simpson and the Alabama Crimson Tide face their toughest challenge yet this season with a road trip to Athens to take on the Georgia Bulldogs. The matchup has all the makings of a defining moment for both Alabama’s season and Simpson’s career.

If Ty Simpson can lead the Tide to victory against one of the nation’s most dominant defenses, especially on the road, not only will Alabama firmly reestablish itself as a playoff contender, but Simpson will solidify his place among the elite quarterbacks in college football this season.

With NIL success off the field and record-breaking performances on the field, Ty Simpson’s seems to be a star not only in the making, but a star currently shining brighter than ever.
