Rivalry showdown shifted! Bears vs. Packers ignites NFC North fate in a crucial late-afternoon battle for divisional dominance.

All eyes will be on the Chicago Bears as they take on the Green Bay Packers in Week 14, in what will be a game with massive NFC North implications.

The Dec. 7 showdown will be the first time this season that the Bears have faced their hated rival, but it looks like fans will have to wait a little longer that day to see it.

The game was initially supposed to kickoff at noon CT, but it was flexed to 3:25 p.m., via Marquee Sports Network's Tony Andracki.

The last time that Chicago got a shot at Green Bay was in Week 18 of the 2024 season. The game didn't mean much for Green Bay, as they had already clinched a playoff spot, but it meant everything for Chicago to beat its rival in the last week of the regular season.

The win over the Packers snapped a 10-game losing streak for the Bears. Head coach Matt Eberflus was fired during the streak after the awful clock management he had in the 23-20 Thanksgiving Day loss to the Detroit Lions.

The Packers held the top spot in the division until the 10-7 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles and Monday Night Football in Week 10. The Eagles helped the Bears out again after beating the Lions in Week 11, as Detroit had the tiebreaker versus Chicago from the 52-21 win in Week 2.

The Bears have just two more noon CT games in the regular season, as they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday and the Cleveland Browns on Dec. 14. After the Steelers, the Bears face the Eagles on Black Friday.

Green Bay must face the Minnesota Vikings and Lions before facing Chicago. The Packers are 1-2 in their last three games, picking up a win over the New York Giants 27-20 on Sunday.

This matchup between hated rivals is always going to carry some extra motivation for both teams, as it should. After falling to third place with the Eagles' loss, the Packers have recovered and are now 6-3 heading into Week 12.

Regardless of what time the game is played, it's going to mean a lot to both sides. The Bears are 1-4 in the last five meetings with the Packers. Hopefully Ben Johnson can have things trending the other way in the rivalry.

For now, Chicago needs to worry about beating the Steelers and Eagles.
