The Chicago Bears are going to the playoffs for the first time since 2020.
The Bears took care of business against the Green Bay Packers, beating them 22-16 in overtime, but still needed help from an old foe. Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers punched the Bears' ticket with a 29-24 win over the Detroit Lions.
The achievement was historic for Chicago, but some players also benefited financially from it.
Offensive guard Jonah Jackson and receiver Olamide Zaccheaus hit some contract incentives in Week 16.
Jackson already made $1.25 million for playing in 85% of the Bears' snaps this season. He just made another $1.25 million since the Bears are playoff-bound. On top of that, his multipliers doubled with the postseason berth, meaning he has now made $2.5 million, via Spotrac.
Zaccheaus had a similar incentive. He earned $62,500 after playing in 45% of the team's snaps in 2025, thanks to Chicago making the playoffs. There was a chance he could have made more money, but it's unlikely.
Zaccheaus has played in 55.6% of the Bears' snaps and needs to increase that to 65% to earn another incentive worth $125,000.
Jackson was one of the many offensive line additions that General Manager Ryan Poles made in the offseason. Poles traded for Jackson from the Los Angeles Rams, and it has paid off in full.
Poles also went out and traded for guard Joe Thuney from the Kansas City Chiefs and signed free center Drew Dalman. Both Thuney and Dalman are heading to the Pro Bowl in February.
Jackson started his NFL career with the Lions in 2020. He spent four years with the franchise and made the Pro Bowl in 2021. He spent last season with the Rams but only played in four games due to injury.
He has had a turnaround with the Bears in 2025 and started all 15 games so far.
Zaccheaus came to the NFL in 2019 after playing college football at Virginia. He spent the first four seasons of his career with the Atlanta Falcons before joining the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023. Zaccheaus was with the Washington Commanders last season and was a free-agent signing by Poles this offseason.
The veteran receiver has 313 receiving yards and two touchdowns on the year for Chicago. He has been a valuable depth piece, especially with the recent injuries to Rome Odunze and Luther Burden III.
Zaccheaus and Jackson head to Santa Clara in Week 17, as the Bears take on the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football at 7:20 p.m. CT on NBC and Peacock.
