One of the quarterbacks that Caleb Williams appreciates the most is Aaron Rodgers, much to the disappointment of Chicago Bears' fans.
Williams still has ways to go as a quarterback, but he is making a lot of strides in year two. He has 2,329 passing yards, 13 touchdowns and four interceptions through 10 games.
He might get the chance to face the former Green Bay Packers quarterback, as the Bears take on the Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday. The keyword here is might because Rodgers suffered a wrist injury in the 34-12 win over the Cincinnati Bengals and didn't practice on Wednesday.
Regardless of whether Rodgers plays, head coach Ben Johnson was asked what similarities he has seen between Williams and Rodgers so far. Johnson stated that there isn't any right now, but noted that Rodgers is a good quarterback to model his game after.
"Um, yeah, I'd probably, probably say not right now," Johnson said. "You know, I think he's (Rodgers) elite right now at getting the ball out of his hands. I think he's got the, if he doesn't have the fastest snap to throw time in the league right now, he's got to be close. So, he's doing a really good job of spinning it out; he's accurate. You know, I think our guy is the same way, but we probably hold on to it a little bit more. Just where we are in the offense, as we are learning and growing, I think we will gravitate more towards getting it out faster, the more reps we have. But, yeah, the guy has done it like I said at a high level for a long time, so it's a good guy to look up to."

Caleb Williams has expressed his appreciation for Aaron Rodgers' game in the past.
I asked Ben Johnson if he sees any similarities between Williams and Rodgers and how they play the QB position.
"Um, yeah, I'd probably, probably not right now. You know, I think he's (Rodgers)
The Steelers quarterback may not be the same player he once was, but he has still accounted for 1,969 passing yards, 19 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He currently holds the NFL record for career interception percentage at 1.4%.
If Rodgers can't go on Sunday, the Bears will face Mason Rudolph. Even so, Williams could still learn a thing or two from Rodgers, who is in his 21st NFL season.
Rodgers has had the Bears' number throughout his career, going 24-5 against them all-time. We'll see if facing the new look Bears with Williams under center will make a difference.
The Bears and Steelers meet in the Windy City on Sunday at Soldier Field. Kickoff will be at noon CT on CBS.
