Broncos bolster practice squad with Elijah Moore, a receiver with a history of significant plays against Denver, adding veteran depth.

The Denver Broncos escaped Sunday Night Football with a 27-26 overtime win against the Washington Commanders.

It was a close game, but Denver finding a way to win a tight game is promising for its hope of a deep postseason run.

On Tuesday, the Broncos added a solid veteran presence to the practice squad. According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, former New York Jets draft pick Elijah Moore signed a deal.

"Veteran WR Elijah Moore is signing to the Broncos practice squad, per source. Now on his fourth team in five NFL seasons, Moore has 209 career catches for 2,274 yards and nine TDs."

Ironically enough, it comes exactly one year after he had a 100-yard game against the Broncos as a member of the Cleveland Browns.

Moore was a second-round pick by the Jets in the 2021 NFL Draft after playing at Ole Miss.

He then spent two years with the Jets before being traded to the Browns in the 2023 offseason. And, after two years in Cleveland, Moore signed with the Bills before the 2025 season.

Moore had just nine catches for 112 yards in nine games with Buffalo before being released, and he is quickly scooped up by the Broncos.

A year ago to the day he signed, the Broncos defeated the Browns, 41-32, and Moore was second on the team behind Jerry Jeudy in receiving yards.

It's quite the coincidence, but now, Moore is a member of the Broncos and will start on the practice squad with a change to be elevated to the active roster at some point down the stretch.
