Bo Nix sparks Broncos' dominant win, shredding Dallas defense. His effective deep throws and four touchdowns earn an 'A-.'

The Denver Broncos trampled the Dallas Cowboys’ defense on their way to a 44-24 victory in Week 8, bringing their season record to an AFC West-leading 6-2. Leading the way during the blowout was Denver quarterback Bo Nix. For his Week 8 performance, Nix was given an ‘A-’ grade by Bleacher Report’s Brent Sobleski.

“Nix pushed the ball down the field with effectiveness against the Cowboys,” Sobleski wrote in a recent article. “According to NFL Next Gen Stats, the sophomore signal-caller completed seven of 13 attempts over 10 air yards, including three touchdowns, during Sunday's contest.”

The second-year quarterback finished the game with 247 passing yards, four passing touchdowns, and one interception. It’s now the fifth win in a row for the Broncos, and Nix shone bright yet again as he has several times this season.

“We got a lot of potential. We played really well – on all cylinders,” Nix said to reporters after the game.

It was an encouraging performance from Nix and the Broncos’ offense, who have had their fair share of doubters this season. There have been times when the offense has looked stagnant and not up to par with the elite defense, raising questions about whether or not the Broncos can be looked at as legit contenders in the AFC.

Although their Week 8 win came against a Dallas defense that sits at the bottom of the league, the Broncos' offense did more than enough to convince fans of legit promise. They came out of the gate looking good, which has been something the Broncos have struggled with, as evidenced by the necessity of late-game comebacks against the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants.

Denver scored in all four quarters on Sunday, indicating consistency in an offense that has had its moments of inconsistency in prior weeks. Despite those troubles in prior weeks, Denver now looks to have found its momentum, scoring 77 points in its last five quarters of football.

It seems like Nix and the offense are hitting their groove, and opposing NFL defenses should take notice of the rising contender in the AFC.
