Shedeur Sanders and the Cleveland Browns look to overcome ice cold temps and a dominant Chicago Bears run game to pull off inter-conference upset.

It's going to be a frigid one on the banks of Lake Michigan on Sunday, when the Cleveland Browns visit the Chicago Bears. The high is just a tick above 10 degrees, with winds rising up to 20-plus miles per hour. Those conditions will certainly play a role in both teams ' game plans, and may, honestly, favor a Bears team that is No. 2 in the NFL in rushing, led by the dynamic duo of De'Andre Swift and rookie Kyle Monangai.

Cleveland, meanwhile, is looking to bounce back from what was easily its worst defensive performance of the seaso in Week 14. Tennessee Titans' back Tony Pollard shredded the Browns for 161 yards, including two big TD runs of 65 and 32 yards. Something will have to give there.

Protecting the football will be priority No. 1 for rookie QB Shedeur Sanders. No team has forced more turnovers than Chicago this season, including a whopping 18 interceptions. Sanders is hoping to build upon the best performance of his you career, where he threw for 364 yards and scored four touchdowns.

Sanders now knows he'll start for the rest of the season, which makes Sunday's matchup with the Bears an important opportunity to try and convince team brass that he can be the QB of ths future beyond 2025.

Will Sanders and the Browns offense freeze up in the Windy city? Our predictions are in.

Anthony Moeglin's Prediction

Brrrr! It's going to be a cold one in the windy city on Sunday as the Browns are limping their way to the finish line this season.

While this could be a lopsided affair, for several reasons this game has a ton of intrigue to it for both teams. On the Bears' side of things, they are trying to make a playoff push, in a daunting NFC, and NFC North division. After losing to the Packers last week, the Bears went from the No. 1 seed in the conference to the No. 7 seed, and just in the field. They need this win and need it badly.

For the Browns, it is all eyes on Shedeur Sanders and the Browns' offense. Sanders showed a ton of promise last week in the Browns' loss to the Titans, where he threw for 364 yards and three touchdowns. All eyes are on him to continue stacking solid performances, especially this week against a playoff-caliber opponent.

This is an old school matchup, one that I personally wish showes up on the schedule more often. Anyway, I do think this game on Sunday will largely be a snoozefest.

The Bears have one of the best run games in all of the NFL, and the Browns showed last week that they can be exposed on the ground. The offense is going to struggle, per usual, and it's not crazy to think the Browns tap out early.

Cleveland will be missing a ton of guys due to injury, and it is setting up to be a long afternoon.

Bears 31, Browns 17

Spencer German's Prediction

The cold isn't even the biggest challenge this team faces in a Week 15 matchup with the Bears, because the Browns injury list is a novel right now. They're missing two starters on the o-line, plus Ethan Pocic, whose season is over after last week's Achilles injury. David Njoku is out due to a knee injury, as well. Rookie RB Dylan Sampson can't go either, and that's just on the offensive side of things.

Perhaps the biggest loss of all this week, is star CB Dezel Ward, who is dealing with a calf injury. It just feels like an awful lot for a 3-10 team to overcome.

That said, Shedeur Sanders isn't going to just roll over. He's got plenty to play for in hopes of cementing himself as the franchise QB moving forward. If he can somehow replicate his 364-yard, four touchdown performance from last week, Cleveland will have a great opportunity to win this game. That's easier said than done, though, given the weather, and against the Bears ball-hawking secondary.

It would go a long way toward winning this football game if Cleveland can have a fairly balanced offensive attack. Ultimately, I think the team that runs the ball better will win, and that's Chicago's strength.
