Today's Extreme Wealth Was Built Because Nations Never Complied with the Children's Rights Convention

How to Unionize Tesla? Start by Targeting Musk, Through His Daughter, to Pay the Costs His Wealth Imposed on Women and Children

Elon Musk has dared Tesla employees to unionize but given his level of influence many are wary of even trying.

Is there a tactic to move forward? Musk's wealth derives from his wealthy background, and his leaving apartheid-ridden South Africa where that wealth was made while other children were literally starving to death. South Africa, like almost all nations at the time, never took the steps necessary - including redistribution of wealth - to ensure that all children were born and raised in conditions compliant with the Children's Rights Convention

Leaders in South Africa evaded that requirement by lying to their citizens and avoiding an inevitable process whereby property rights would have been logically overridden to ensure - intergenerationally - the democracy necessary to create them.

They hid the first and overriding human right - the right to a Fair Start in life.

South Africa like many other nations preferred to ride the wave of population growth, rather than protect children, because it created wealth. That is why Musk and other wealthy men still unsustainable promote population growth today. Investments in children, #birthequity requirements and ecocentric rather than anthropocentric environmental standards would have halted that process (and prevented the climate crisis).

Fast forward to today: Musk and others have ridden that wave of growth to extreme wealth, and per one Nobel Laureate, did so externalizing its true costs on women, children, and the environment. For this and other reasons Musk's daughter - who has chosen to remain anonymous - has disowned him.

Enter the nascent unions at Tesla.

If Musk's wealth was bult in violation of the first and overriding human right, workers can use it to take his wealth - inside the plants and otherwise - by all means effective. There are lots of ways to take what is owed when it comes to ensuring fair starts in life for all kids, and his daughter can be a key and vocal asset in this fight. Auto workers can borrow a page from cutting-edge labor organizations that promote the right: See Section Thirteen of RaRa's guide of what it means to have a just and equitable workplace. And they can use other and more creative tactics as well, arguably free from many of the federal limitations on labor activity because the efforts precede government's authority to block them.

TAKE ACTION: Use your internet sleuthing skills to find and approach Musk's daughter to support our efforts and urge the United Auto Workers to also support this tactic at Tesla's plants. Free people will limit and decentralize the power others have over them, and Musk is an ideal target for this form of liberation.
