Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes delivered a classic performance en route to the team’s Week 4 37-20 victory over the Baltimore Ravens. Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report gave Mahomes an ‘A’ grade for his outing on Sunday.
The 30-year-old threw for 270 yards on 25 completions on the Ravens' secondary in the Chiefs’ win. Mahomes’ four touchdowns beat the Baltimore defense into the ground, giving no hope for a comeback. Football fans were treated to a statement game from Mahomes in Week 4 after many in the football world had started to express their doubts about the 2025 Chiefs.
“Peak Patrick Mahomes is the greatest quarterback in NFL history,” Sobleski wrote. “He helped revolutionize how everyone else looks at and evaluates the position thanks to his creativity and play-making ability. What's often overlooked is his constant evolution.”
Peak Patrick Mahomes is who Chiefs Kingdom had the pleasure of watching on Sunday. The return of second-year receiver Xavier Worthy after missing all but three snaps of the season was huge for Mahomes. Worthy led the team with 83 receiving yards and eight targets. The connection between the two wasn’t lost while Worthy missed time due to his dislocated shoulder, as the pair connected on a 37-yard pass in the first quarter. The deep ball is officially back for Mahomes.
In typical Mahomes fashion, the two-time MVP refused to take all the credit for his performance.
“They executed well on the offensive line, blocked extremely well. When that happens, you can get the football out and let guys make plays,” he said after the game. “As far as scheme, I knew where to throw the ball on time, and other than a few plays in the beginning of the game, I thought we did a great job executing all day.”
In the midst of his ‘A’ graded performance, Mahomes became the fastest player in the history of the NFL to reach 250 passing touchdowns. He did so in 116 games, five fewer than the second-fastest, Aaron Rodgers.
After a dominant win against Baltimore, the Chiefs now look ahead to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday Night Football. Kick off is slated for 8:15 p.m. EST.
