New Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Christian Parker has quite the job ahead of him.
With so many holes needing to be filled in his defense, exactly where to start is going to be a serious task in itself.
But luckily, we are here to help.
Pass rusher, linebacker, safety, and corner are the problematic spots on the roster.
Now, you aren't likely able to fix all ailments in one offseason, but you can certainly try.
We've spoken of Jerry Jones' need to buy a Ferrari this offseason to kickstart the defensive overhaul, but what if Dallas didn't need the big, shiny, new toy on defense?
What if a quality, veteran free agent, who could come in and start, while also still having something to prove?
For PFF's Mason Cameron, he's named the Cowboys as an ideal landing spot for Cleveland Browns linebacker Devin Bush.
"Bush revitalized his career in Cleveland," Cameron wrote. "He took on an increased role in 2025 and posted a career-best 87.6 PFF overall grade, third best among qualifying linebackers this season.
"The Cowboys have been known to take swings on former first-round picks, and Bush could be the next. Dallas ranked 28th in EPA per play allowed on designed runs and also surrendered the seventh-most yards per carry."
Fans might be asking why with Bush.
Well, the simplest way to put it is that before the 2025 season, he was, for some, on the verge of being a first-round bust.
But with Jim Schwartz in Cleveland, his 2025 season was a bounce-back one for the ages. To the point where some thought a Pro Bowl could be secured.
Bush, in playing all 17 games, totaled career highs in interceptions (3), posted 126 combined tackles, had 2.0 sacks, four quarterback hits, and seven tackles for loss.
In Week 18, he was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week after posting 14 tackles and a 97-yard pick-six against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Spotrac.com has Bush's calculated market value at just $8.9 million APY. That won't break the bank.
He could give the Cowboys more veteran leadership, and while he bounced back with authority in 2025, there's likely still a chip on his shoulder, wanting to prove that his season in Cleveland wasn't a one-hit wonder.
Dallas needs a linebacker to pair with DeMarvion Overshown, and Bush could be an interesting choice.
