George Pickens Reveals 'Huge Factor' In Cowboys Contract Decision cover image

Cowboys receiver George Pickens has detailed a huge factor in him staying beyond the 2025 season.

Dallas Cowboys receiver George Pickens has been the talk of the town after his superb performance in the win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

Another superb game, this time, 144 yards and a touchdown from nine catches takes his season tally to 908 yards and seven touchdowns, Pickens was a menace as the Raiders were powerless to stop him.

In recent days, attention has turned to George's future and if the Cowboys want him beyond the 2025 season, and most fans are in agreement that the front office should do everything in their power to keep No. 3 around.

And Pickens has revealed that head coach Brian Schottenheimer, who is also the offensive play-caller, is a huge factor in him returning next season.

"A lot, definitely with the type of plays, the play calling, the stuff that he brings to the table definitely is a huge factor," Pickens said.

It was the way he emphasized "huge" that tells us a lot about George's feelings about staying beyond the season. He loves playing with Schotty and the fit he has in the offense.

But it isn't just Schottenheimer that Pickens wants to stay with, it's his fellow receiver CeeDee Lamb as well.

"I love to be back with, bro [Lamb], especially him, Dak, all the guys really," Pickens added.

So, things appear to be in a great spot for George and the Cowboys.

Schottenheimer, Jerry Jones, Lamb and Dak Prescott all want George to remain long term, but as we know, sometimes it isn't that easy.

But Pickens has tipped his hand several times when it comes to his future, and he's made no secret of the fact that he would love to return.

"I probably say, just the camaraderie and the stuff they had going on here before me, what I jelled into, definitely a good fit here at the Cowboys," George said.

So, all signs point to Pickens wanting to stick around; the coaching staff and players want him to remain with the team, so there's only one thing left to do -- put a contract in front of him this offseason.

Do it, Jerry.
