The 6-7-1 Dallas Cowboys' Week 16 game against the Los Angeles Chargers at AT&T Stadium today will be the final home game of the year.
The Washington Commanders and the New York Giants are coming up on the road to close out the year.
But first, one more shot for Cowboys Nation to be able to watch their team in the luxurious confines of Arlington.
With the Cowboys being 4-2-1 at home, it hasn't exactly been the fortress Brian Schottenheimer would have envisioned at the start of the season.
But the Cowboys have a chance to put smiles on their fans' faces on Sunday in the final home game of the season.
And that is exactly what Dak Prescott plans on doing.
“Yeah, the pride of taking that field and being a professional athlete is we've got fans that put a lot into this game and put a lot into us, and just be able to go out there and get a big win, especially after losing this last one at home,” Prescott said.
“We've been good at home, I want to make sure that we keep that going and take some of that momentum into next year to hopefully go undefeated at home next year. Appreciation to the fans for their support, their love, and understand that we're still trying our damnedest.”
The Cowboys' season as a whole can be seen as a failure solely because they didn't make the playoffs.

Being the first year under Schottenheimer, it hasn't been smooth sailing at all, with the Micah Parsons trade and the tragic passing of Marshawn Kneeland, but this Cowboys team has kept plugging away.
A 3-5-1 start doomed the franchise and left it swimming against the tide.
Now, as we approach Week 16, and the last chance to give their home fans something to celebrate, beating the 1`0-4 Chargers might just do it.
Of course, it is all moot without playoff football, but sending the AT&T Stadium crowd home with a win is a feel-good story this fan base needs. ...
Unless you favor the idea of Dallas losing in order to better its position in the 2026 NFL Draft.
