Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer wants George Pickens around long-term. And so, it seems, does team owner Jerry Jones.

It seems with each passing week, Dallas Cowboys receiver George Pickens keeps adding more money to his potentially monster contract in the offseason.

Playing on the final year of his rookie deal, Pickens is playing exactly how the Cowboys had envisioned him to play when they traded for him, although, it isn't likely Dallas thought they would get THIS version of George.

And after a 144-yard, one touchdown game against the Las Vegas Raiders that now puts his season total at 908 yards and seven touchdowns, the conversation has shifted to George's future beyond 2025.

With Pickens playing like a $35 million APY receiver, can Dallas afford to pay two star weapons, along with Dak Prescott and three defensive tackles who are making roughly $20 million APY each?

Jerry Jones said "yes" on 105.3 The Fan, which is a big statement in itself.

But what about Brian Schottenheimer? What are his thoughts to having Pickens around beyond 2025 with CeeDee?

"Yeah, sign me up,” Schottenheimer said. “Those two guys, I love their relationship, the firepower that they give us. That's one of those games where you never know which one it's going to be. Some games it's both of them, some games it's one of them.

"I pinch myself at times because you're talking about when you're Dak or you're the play caller myself, you're like, "Okay, well, if we do this, well, which way do I throw it to?" I like that match-up. Wow, that one's pretty good, too. Like, that's real. I'm very in favor of George having a long-term future with us here in Dallas.”

The Cowboys offense has gone to another level with the addition of Pickens and what he can do for CeeDee and vice versa has seen the pair not really have a "poor" game this year at all.

Pickens' worst game was Week 1 when he posted just 30 yards.

Since then, he's had at least 57 yards in a game, along with three 134+ yard games as well.

And for CeeDee, taking the Chicago Bears game out of it as he was injured early, he hasn't had a game under 66 yards (vs. Raiders) and has three games of 100+ yards in his seven games this season.

So, when on the field together, George and CeeDee, generally, have their way with whatever defense is presented to them.

Signing Pickens to a long-term deal would likely cost Dallas in excess of $30 million APY, and per Over The Cap, the franchise tag for a receiver in 2026 is roughly $28 million.

Jerry thinks it's feasible to keep George around, Schotty wants it too.

So, there's only one logical conclusion, right?
