One underappreciated impact of the dawn of AI, the digitization of everything and the acceleration of change that will result from both is that things will very soon be changing much more quickly than laws and regulations can keep up. It will eventually be impossible for legislators and bureaucrats to respond to new innovations and capabilities with sufficient speed. Which means that things are about to get more libertarian than I think most people have contemplated or are prepared for. Some things will do very well in a more libertarian environment, particularly things that can facilitate peer-to-peer transactions with very high degrees of reliability without the need for government oversight or intervention.
