The number of crypto ATMs worldwide has reached 38,279, nearing the record high of 39,541 from December 2022, according to Coin ATM Radar. Nearly 6,000 ATMs have been added in the past 11 months as the crypto market rebounded, with machines now available in 72 countries and made by 43 companies. The number of crypto ATMs had dropped to fewer than 33,000 during the bear market from late 2022 to July 2023 but has since increased by 2,564 this year after a loss of 2,861 machines.

The US leads with 31,916 ATMs, followed by Canada with 3,024 and Australia with 1,107. Australia may soon surpass Europe’s 1,584 ATMs. El Salvador, the first country to make Bitcoin legal tender, has 215 ATMs. Bitcoin is the most supported token on these ATMs, with Ethereum and Litecoin also widely available.
