The Philadelphia Eagles don't have another game for the next 10 days, which not only allows them to address what they need at the trade deadline and bring in some new faces, but it’ll also allow some of the guys on the current roster to get healthy and be ready to go for the back end of the year.

The Eagles look to be in as strong a position as any team in the NFL to win a Super Bowl, but they need to be healthy on both sides of the football. One player in particular who needs to be healthy for Philadelphia to have the season it's looking to have is Saquon Barkley, who arguably had his best game of the year the last time the Eagles were on the field.

Barkley, unfortunately, has dealt with an injury, something that appeared to be affecting his groin. However, according to the latest reports from Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, it isn't too big of an issue.

Fowler reported that he's feeling good right now, and the bye week will give him some time to really get as healthy as possible moving forward.

"Eagles running back Saquon Barkley is trending positively coming off a minor groin injury. The feeling right now is that he should be in a good spot after the bye week," Fowler wrote.

From the sound of things, Barkley would be on the field if the Eagles had a game on Sunday.

However, that added bye week only gives them more of a reason to go as slow as possible with Barkley.

If he needs a few days off from practice next week, it wouldn't be the worst idea.

Even if he has to miss a game, which is very unlikely at this point, that also shouldn't be too big a concern. The Eagles are in this for the long haul, so a Week 10 win ultimately doesn't mean a ton.

That isn't to say that they shouldn't go out and attempt to put the best roster on the field if players are healthy, but if Barkley isn't 100 percent, I'd rather see him sit out now than have to worry about the injury in the long term.
