The Philadelphia Eagles beat the lowly Las Vegas Raiders to improve to 9-5.

The Philadelphia Eagles avoided a disaster by beating the lowly Las Vegas Raiders at home.

After turning the ball over five times against the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football, Eagles QB Jalen Hurts bounced back with three TD passes and zero turnovers.

Yes, it was the Raiders, but the Eagles rose in the latest NFL.com power rankings with their ninth win of the season, albeit just one spot.

"The Eagles needed a tension-breaker game, and they got exactly that. Beating the Raiders won’t tell us whether the offense is truly fixed or if Philadelphia is suddenly any more playoff-ready, making this result comparable to the 2023 Eagles’ December win over a bad Giants team. Then again, just imagine if Philly had not had its way with an even worse Las Vegas outfit.

"Jalen Hurts followed his five-turnover game against the Chargers with a clean, crisp performance Sunday, and that was a positive sign. The red-zone package was a little more inspired, too, and the defense turned in a near-perfect showing, even accounting for how challenged the Raiders are offensively. The Eagles will take this and try to build on it, with Sunday's game against the 4-10 Commanders presenting a similar assignment."

All signs point toward the Eagles winning the NFC East again. They have three games left in the regular season against the Washington Commanders (twice) and Buffalo Bills.

Entering next week, Philadelphia is 18th in the NFL in points per game and sixth in points per game allowed. The offense has a lot of work to do, but if Hurts and Co. can enter the playoffs on a high note, look out.

"Everybody's watching," Hurts said after the game. "That just comes with it. And it hasn't changed. I think everybody needs to remember where I come from and how I'm built. I just want to lead in the right way and set the right example. I've done the same thing since I went to the University of Alabama and everything that's been in front of me, and it's no different now."
