After the Philadelphia Eagles destroyed the Las Vegas Raiders to snap their three-game losing streak, LB Nakobe Dean didn't hold back while talking about QB Jalen Hurts.
Dean said Hurts is the only QB he wants to play for in the NFL.
"I wouldn't want another quarterback, to be honest," Dean said. "You see a guy that takes so much criticism in every aspect. Since he's been in the league, it seems like he's on top of the mountain one day in the public eye and in the next, they're trying to bury him. And you just see a guy that comes in with the same resolve, the same mindset each week to work and get better. To me, he can't do no wrong in my eyes. I don't care what nobody says."
Hurts was brilliant against the Raiders. He went 12-15 through the air for 175 passing yards and three passing touchdowns.
The reigning Super Bowl MVP also carried the ball seven times for 39 yards.
"Everybody's watching," Hurts said after the game. "That just comes with it. And it hasn't changed. I think everybody needs to remember where I come from and how I'm built. I just want to lead in the right way and set the right example. I've done the same thing since I went to the University of Alabama and everything that's been in front of me, and it's no different now."
The Eagles improved to 9-5 after beating the Raiders. They remain in first place in the NFC East.
Philly head coach Nick Sirianni was asked if he thought about benching Hurts after the Los Angeles Chargers game, a contest Hurts turned the ball over five times in.
It's safe to say Sirianni won't be getting asked that question this week.
Hurts now has 2,929 passing yards, 22 passing touchdowns, 376 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns on the season.
The Eagles have three games left in the regular season. They face the Washington Commanders twice and the Buffalo Bills.
