Philadelphia Eagles kicker Jake Elliott spoke out on his struggles.

Philadelphia Eagles kicker Jake Elliott has struggled this season, and that continued in Saturday's win over the Washington Commanders.

Elliott missed both of his field goal attempts for the Eagles, and missed one more field goal attempt, but the Commanders committed a penalty on the play.

On the season, Elliott is now 17 of 24 (70.8 percent) on field goal attempts and 38 of 39 on extra point attempts (97.4 percent).

After the game, Elliott was asked if his struggles have been mental. "No, honestly, not at all. That’s kind of what’s frustrating about is I don’t feel that way at all. I kind of wish it was. Easier to fix," Elliott said.

The 30-year-old kicker was also asked if he's worried about Philadelphia exploring other options at kicker, but stated he understands that it's “a production-based business.”

“He’ll respond and he’ll rebound from this," head coach Nick Sirianni said after the game.

While Elliott struggled, the Eagles came away with a 29-18 win over the Commanders and clinched the NFC East title. It is the second-straight division title for Philadelphia, and they will now look to repeat as Super Bowl champions.

In their final two games, the Eagles will be fighting for seeding, as they could move up to the two seed if they win out and get help down the stretch. Philadelphia takes on the Buffalo Bills in Week 17 and will have a rematch with the Commanders in Week 18.

The Eagles will need Elliott to play more consistently down the stretch, especially in the playoffs, if he remains the kicker.

Elliott is inked on a four-year $24 million deal that ties him to Philadelphia through the 2028 season. He has missed more field goals over the past couple of seasons, and it should be a concern for the Eagles.

Philadelphia as a whole hasn't been as strong as last season when they won the Super Bowl. That makes their margin for error much smaller, and they will need Elliott to convert on his field goal attempts to help the Eagles not leave points on the board.
