The Philadelphia Eagles may be 8-2 on the season, but they have probably experienced more drama than any team in the NFL during the process.
Throughout the campaign, wide receiver A.J. Brown has made it very clear that he is not happy with his role, and apparently, not everyone in the Eagles' locker room is thrilled with quarterback Jalen Hurts.
It hasn't stopped Philadelphia from winning. The Eagles have won four straight and have collected numerous victories over some of the NFL's best teams, but some wonder if all of the internal dissension could ultimately derail them in the end.
Offensive tackle Jordan Mailata seems to think that most of this is being manufactured by the media and doesn't care to pay much attention to it.
"We know we haven’t been playing to our best. But that’s what we’re going to put our focus in — not whatever stories are leaking out from very prestigious media people," Mailata said, via Zach Berman of The Athletic. "That, we can’t control. What we can control is what we give to the game and what the game will give back to us.”

“We’ve got a game to play. I feel like that’s another distraction,” Mailata said. “I feel like we’ve been here before. Kind of similar last year. I’ve been telling guys, let’s just move on. We've got a game to play. ... That’s what we’re focused on. We’re not focused on whatever (the reports are). We’re focused on getting the offense on the road. That’s our No. 1 priority.”
The problem with Mailata's statement is that Brown himself has caused a lot of the drama by making it abundantly clear that he is unhappy, so of course the media is going to report on it.
Brown has logged 38 catches for 457 yards and three touchdowns in nine games this year, putting him on pace for what would quite easily be his least productive season in Philadelphia.
The three-time Pro Bowler caught a season-high seven passes on a season-high 11 targets in Philly's win over the Detroit Lions last week, but still managed just 49 yards.
The Eagles will face the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday.
