This Philadelphia Eagles star has revealed the biggest problem for the team this season.

The Philadelphia Eagles' offense has been sputtering this season, ranking 30th in the NFL after six games. The Eagles failed to score in the second half of their Week 6 loss to the New York Giants, and the week prior, they blew a 14-point fourth-quarter lead against the Denver Broncos.

The dynamic between Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown has been a hot topic of discussion in Philadelphia for the past several weeks, as has the efficiency of new offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo. But what is the central issue for Philly this season? Brown himself broke it down.

"Self-inflicted wounds. Sometimes lack of execution at the wrong time," Brown told reporters. "If it’s first down and you have a lack of execution, it might not be the end of the world. But when you get to third down, it puts you behind the sticks. That’s hard to recover from in this league. So I think just being on the same page, communication and lack of execution."

Remember: DeVonta Smith used a similar explanation following Week 5, stating that Hurts was not on the same page as his wide receivers.

Brown has logged 25 catches for 274 yards and a touchdown thus far, putting him on pace for numbers well off what you would expect for the three-time Pro Bowler.

Whatever the case may be, the Eagles have plenty of time to fix their problems. And in spite of how poorly they have been playing recently, they are still 4-2 and sit atop the NFC East and own wins over the Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Eagles are the defending Super Bowl champions, so they definitely deserve some grace. That being said, the concern is understandable, especially considering what happened in Philadelphia two years ago where the team lost five of its last six regular-season games before getting routed by the Buccaneers in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs.

Philly will face the Minnesota Vikings on the road this Sunday and has a great opportunity to get itself back on track this season. If the Eagles win, then most of the problems they have been experiencing will be pushed aside. But if they lose? All you know what could break loose in the City of Brotherly Love.
