An NFL analyst took a shot at Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts.

NFL analyst Brad Gagnon of Bleacher Report took a shot at Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts.

Gagnon said Hurts is the Eagles' "fatal flaw" heading into the playoffs.

"Hurts was the Super Bowl MVP last year, so we're not condemning him or the recovering Eagles," Gagnon wrote. "That said, he ranks just 20th in QBR and has the 12th-highest bad-throw rate in the league. The 27-year-old has played well of late, but he committed five turnovers in a brutal prime-time loss earlier this month."

Hurts has 3,114 passing yards, 24 passing touchdowns, six interceptions, 416 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns on the season. He has a QBR of just 56.3.

The Eagles are averaging 23.3 points per game, which ranks 16th in the NFL. Hurts and Co. are 23rd in the league in passing yards.

For Philadelphia to repeat as champions, Hurts has to take his passing game to another level. We saw him do it last season. Only time will tell if the reigning Super Bowl MVP can do it again in this year's playoffs.

Hurts isn't a bad QB. He just hasn't played like an elite one this season. It's been frustrating for Eagles fans because Hurts played like a superstar in 2024. For whatever reason, new OC Kevin Patullo hasn't done a job maximizing Hurts' skills.

The Eagles have two games left in the regular season. They face the Buffalo Bills and Washington Commanders. If Philadelphia wins both games and gets some help from other teams, the Birds could be the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs.

Once the playoffs start, Hurts will be under pressure to lead the Eagles back to the promised land. Let's see if he can do it.
