One analyst expects the Philadelphia Eagles to lose to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 7 by a final score of 24-22.
The Eagles are 4-2 on the season, while the Vikings are 3-2.
Philadelphia began the season 4-0 before losing to the Denver Broncos and New York Giants in back-to-back weeks.
The Eagles will face their former QB, Carson Wentz, as J.J. McCarthy still has a sprained ankle.
"Another major storyline here is Philly's offensive struggles in back-to-back losses," Cersosimo wrote. "OC Kevin Patullo wants to run the ball more -- and honestly, he should. It's a crime that Saquon Barkley has rushed for fewer than 90 yards in all six games this season.
"This could be the week the Eagles jump-start their ground attack, with Minnesota ranking in the bottom third against the run. Brian Flores' unit has struggled without leaders Blake Cashman and Andrew Van Ginkel, but if both of them are healthy and on the field Sunday, the defense might just keep the questions about Philly's offense swirling for another week."
The Eagles are averaging 23.7 points per game and giving up 23.8 points per contest. They have the 30th-ranked passing game in the NFL.
QB Jalen Hurts has 1,172 passing yards and eight passing touchdowns on the season. He threw his first interception last week against the Giants in the red zone.
It was a bad play because Hurts had WR A.J. Brown wide open for a touchdown.
The Eagles, according to one NFL executive who spoke with Dianna Russini of The Athletic, look "drained," which happens to many teams after they win the Super Bowl.
"The Eagles have looked drained, emotionally and physically," the NFL executive said. "The defense we saw Thursday night was on the field for (70-plus) plays in the heat just four days ago."
Brown and Hurts haven't been on the same page all season. Brown had six catches for 80 yards against the Giants. He has 25 catches on the season for 274 yards and one touchdown.
A three-game losing streak for the Eagles would certainly make Brown trade rumors even louder than they already are.
