Jaire Alexander Has Said All the Right Things in Philadelphia cover image

The Philadelphia Eagles were one of the more active teams during the NFL trade deadline, acquiring multiple players who not only might have an immediate impact on Philadelphia but also might be a bit of a risk.

One of those moves was the addition of Jaire Alexander, who was once one of the top corners in the NFL.

It's tough to evaluate what Alexander is at this stage of his career, but according to the former All-Pro cornerback, he still feels confident in his abilities. Not only that, but he's really glad that he's able to play for such a winning organization.

"I'm just glad it finally came to fruition. I feel like I'm at a new school or something, you know, just meeting new people," Alexander said, per the Eagles. "I'm just going to bring leadership. I'm going to bring some energy and bring some swag, you know, confidence, and hopefully, you know, hopefully we all can feed off one another, feed off that, and, you know, take this thing to the next level."

This will be an interesting game for Alexander in his first matchup with the Eagles, as they'll take on his former team, the Green Bay Packers.

Alexander was traded to the Eagles from the Baltimore Ravens, but spent the rest of his career, outside of a few months, in Green Bay.

"I was like, 'Wow, this is amazing. Dream come true," Alexander said. "It's going to be nostalgic. You know, it's going to be fun seeing the guys that I grew up with.

"The challenge is obvious. They're a good offense. They're really good on third down. Those guys are a talented group."

Not only will this be a massive game for Alexander to go back to a place that he considers home, but this is also an excellent opportunity for the Eagles to prove that they're the best team in the NFC.

Entering the year, many thought that the Packers were the best team in the conference.

Regardless, as I've stated a few times, as long as Alexander can look like he once did, I think Philadelphia should be in a pretty good spot.
