ARLETA, LOS ANGELES, Nov. 2 (KNN) — A traffic collision involving a vehicle into a storefront appears to be a robbery attempt of a business in Arleta late Wednesday night.
Around 11:26 p.m., the Los Angeles Police Department received a call regarding a traffic collision involving a structure at the intersection of Van Nuys Boulevard and Woodman Avenue.
Additional information was provided to responding officers that it was believed the traffic collision was intentional and that the suspects were attempting to break in to steal merchandise from the store.
The Los Angeles Fire Department was dispatched as well for possible injuries at the scene.
Upon arrival, officers found a vehicle through the door of the New Star clothing store. Officers searched the vehicle and the building, but no suspects were found. It was not immediately known if any merchandise was stolen.
LAPD officers remained on scene investigating the incident, while the fire department was released.
The Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety was also at the scene assessing the structural integrity of the impacted building.
