A few members (including me 😁) expressed interest in how Rewards are distributed. Here's a graph and a detailed dataset.

Diverse approaches are used to distribute rewards. As an example, MWATALK is leaning towards giving cash tips to its members to show appreciation for good content. Boards like INDFAM, might indicate the owner views the board more as a source of income and THEORY is doing weekly competition to.

A portion of rewards that is not deposited or used as cash tips probably be going to pay  moderators. A fixed moderation budget might be beneficial. This would ensure that moderators are adequately compensated.
