BBS NOW
I have the greatest concern about the future of BBS at this point. Activity rates have reached an unsustainably low level. ,just as we are expecting an App that has question marks hanging over it .. I am generally an optimist and look long term for future prospects .. The community has slowly disintegrated to a core group and even the well run boards have very small numbers posting . I must be critical of the team for their lack of awareness in not responding to what has been a continual decline .. Looking at other web 3 competitors such as MIND a and others ,we are being left behind… I regret to write in negative terms but reality is what it is ..The team need to active in promoting BBS or it will not survive …

The App
The very limited feedback I had on the App was initially good ..however i see from a post yesterday that there is also a negative and underwhelming impression too ..I would like to have some clarity on where we stand with the app ..Is it fit for purpose and ready to go or are we looking at an extended period of testing ..Please dont ask for patience ,this is a Q2 item that is still outstanding ...The App will determine success or failure for the year and possibly beyond ..It is essential that we have regular updates a share able to adjust expectations

METTABS A window on BBS
Its heartening to see this board become more of what I would like it to be in the past week ..Yea it is for reporting bugs etc ..but much more than that ,it is a window on the platform ..Seeing good reviews of other boards ,ideas on furniture growth and improvement suggestions is what to me this board should be all about at this stage of the BBS development. METTABS is in effect a good potential marketing tooll

Making a good board ..Gametech ..
I have seen a number of excellent reviews on Gametech here ..I’m not a gamer and have no interest in the subject ,however ,I’m finding the customer satisfaction fascinating..It seems that Gametech is a great model on how to set up a board and keep your audience interested and motivated .. I believe that there is much that other board owners could learn by following a process of customer satisfaction .. As someone who is looking to set up a board ,,I will certainly look to their example

Community groups
Many months ago we were told about two large community groups that were set to join BBS ..what ever happened there ..Are we still awaiting the opportune moment or did they pass on the idea ..I.know that BBS intend to focus marketing on board creation and new group importation ..It would be good to have more specific detail on how this marketing takes place to give us an idea of the type of growth we can expect ..Perhaps the App launch remains a key moment in this regard too .

Keeping the motivation going
I sense a growing frustration in the slow progress of developments ..Asking for patience is no answer ,timelines are.important in business ..I believe that in the meantime some simple initiatives need to be implemented to increase and also to maintain interest ..A CPM boost for eg across the platform ..some new partnered members etc ..BBS need to keep the motivation and spirit of the platform going .. I would.like to see a couple of new partners on this board ..One lady stands out, Admin

Old.members and the App
Could it be that there is anticipation for the app by old.members ..I've noticed some returning in increasing numbers ..mostly just a pop in and out but... I know a few who have said they will rejoin once the app is out ..this would be great ,in addition to the new members it brings in ..The app is our ace card ..I believe it will give us a boost in activity, The challenge as always with BBS is retaining the new activity .. Referral Bonus
As we are largely self promoting BBS ,It seems logical that we should have some kind of referral system that promotes long term activity..in other words bonus payments only occur after a certain length of time..It needs planning and to be as fraud free as.possible , but a well functioning system could lead to a large boost in activity.

Participation
There has been a fair bit of posting revolving around participation ,being partnered etc ...I believe that partnered members should set an example and try to post on a regular basis ..thus generating activity and possibly generating more activity..In respect of partnering ,Whilst I wish Admin would be a little more generous in granting partnered status ,we should also resist what is perceived by some to be their right to be partnered ,just because they put in a few weeks posting activity ...There is a balance to be made that isnt quite right yet .

App ready ?
How long is this testing period for the app due to continue ..Surely after a week or so a conclusion can be reached on whether it is match fit or not ..I know that there are many potential users waiting for this app ,particularly some of our old departed members..In my opinion ,it is essential that BBS establish a strong growth position before year end .. I have mentioned the growing competition before and the impact of this on us can not be dismissed ..

Are we there yet . YES ..
There comes a point when all the changes and tinkering need to become secondary and the main course ,adoption, is allowed to happen .. BBS. Is in my opinion needing to fly and be let loose on the world at large ..Sure there will be adjustments and further changes ,but now must be the time ..There is strong competition waiting to eat the BBS lunch ..Word of mouth on the back of a strongly performing app should restore first mover advantage …I’m looking forward now to really getting BBS moving ..

New Board Creation
In recent weeks we have seen members announce their new boards here on METTABS..I find this very encouraging and brave at this stage ..I will await a fully functioning app before I start ..However ,knowing that others have the confidence and belief in BBS to start to invest time and money into a new venture is what we we all want to see ..BBS can grow into a substantial platform if it can get the small details right ,iron out the bugs and have a stable and easily understood engagement mining system .. I’m looking forward to hearing that the app works and is what we have been waiting for ,at that point ,I believe we will see a substantial increase in new boards

The App is now badly needed to lift this space ..It can’t launch with bugs ongoing but after being due in Q2 the patience is wearing thin …My biggest concern is the progress being made by competitors,they are leaving BBS standing ..We should not think that because we have a great user platform that we will be the winners in the space ..There are many examples in life of the best finishing second or not attracting enough support to be sustainable .. Why are the App testers under a gag ..Surely this is not a helpful position .. It’s been hinted as a top quality product ,so let’s celebrate its functionality …BBS ,let’s get this show on the road

Keeping the boards active
We have had a promising number of former posters reintroduced into the boards recently which is encouraging …Retention has always been the biggest obstacle for BBS and it seems that we still have that problem ..Members become easily detached and look elsewhere .. I have talked about momentum and developing a sense of ongoing activity..All to often we have these dead periods where little appears to happen ..then a drop off in activity.. BBS must break this cycle and keep the whole platform active and engaged…It would help right now to hear views on the app by those using it …

The value of METTABS
METABBS is often referred to as an admin board for reporting bugs etc ..I disagree with this ..Just today we have had an excellent review on Gametech. Price analysis ,comment on the app , etc .. This board will eventually become less relevant but it is still the most important board on the platform to me ..It is here where the future is shaped and where the greatest influence still resides . We have been at the centre of exposing copy pasting , abuse by one board owner , and removing an unpopular update .. METABBS is a great force of positive contribution and I welcome any increase in its activity ..

Momentum
I would really like to see more momentum with BBS .. BBS need to be active in engagement with members and to create an environment that feels like something is happening to grow BBS ..It would be good to have some detail reports on the new app and when we can expect a full launch for eg ..All too often it feels like we are running out of steam when the reverse is probably true ..Perception is important ,momentum too ..I look at MIND ,and they seem to have a better energy than BBS ..

Little issues and bugs
In recent weeks we seem to have suffered a number of small technical issues that in and of themselves are small but cumulatively are an issue of functionality that must be resolved as far as possible before the app launch ..I have read about issues to do with staking ,posting bugs ,which I have had myself ..etc .. I’m sure the team are on to the various issues but they must not be tempted to launch the app until we have as clean a platform as possible ..Doubtless there will be issues in the future ,that’s normal ,but launch clear of existing issues …

New activity
I like that I am seeing new activity on METTABS and members talking about well performing boards ..This is the ultimate in self promotion ,the cheapest and most effective advertising there is .. It’s also great to see new boards being announced .. A double pronged push towards growth , members and boards …this is the way forward .. I will be looking to join the new boards list not long after we have a full launch App with all its functionality.. All this and a stable token price ..Perhaps we are entering a new more positive phase

Word of mouth
The strongest growth will come from word of mouth ,and in order for that to come everything must function well ..No bugs ,no issues with staking , no constant tinkering with the platform ..Once we have a fully functioning platform with all issues ironed out ,the app working , then we can look forward to growth.. My one big issue with BBS has always been the retention one .. The BBS retention rate must be the worst in the web 3 arena …but I put this down to constant and unpopular updates .. Stability will bring adoption ,I’m convinced that the BBS offering plus app trumps the competition …We are not too far from where we need to be ,but we need to arrive at that true functionality stage soon.

Updates
Not much to object to in the new update ..It’s just that I’m growing weary of tinkering updates when what I want to see is a concerted effort to grow BBS adoption rates ..There comes a point when we must get on to the main course ..BBS competition is making much faster progress ,MIND has come on some way this year ,they represent strong competition ,in a market that is growing and in which there will be few survivors … As the site with the best offering ,BBS should be making better progress than it is … One strong point I would like to make .. This is a sink or swim for all ..members ,board owners and the BBS team ..If we are not inclusive and looking out for the interests of all ,we make life harder on ourselves ..
