The pinned posts need to be updated at least once a month to maintain trust. Metabbs is managing to do this. Some boards aren't. Plus some other boards aren't helpful with explaining changes. When the impression timer took effect, Metabbs was the first place you heard about it. There was a lot of ambiguity on the other boards, with members unsure as to whether the Metabbs changes were applicable there or not. This lost those boards a lot of faith from their communities and they have been struggling ever since. Transparency, active engagement and proffesionalism are important if you want your community to keep comming back.
