I heard recently heard a wise saying: Comparison is the thief of joy!
source: https://quotefancy.com/Maybe you are waiting to be invited to be Partner or maybe your posts don't get many views and comments. Maybe you feel the process is unfair and the people who have been made Partners don't deserve it. It's easy to compare yourself with others and see yourself as not as good. Partners aren't better than non-partners. We are all part of the same communities on BBS Network. I felt lucky when I got added to the Partner list. It's a bonus but it doesn't change how good or bad my content is.
I know I have felt discouraged at times and I've felt that BBS Network wasn't worth the trouble. I can see the story in my post history.
I joined just before Christmas 2021. At that time the board was plagued with spam and it was difficult to be seen at all. Your posts got pushed down the list very quickly by numerous jpgs of NFTs and other rubbish.
When I first applied for whitelisting I was denied it due to "coordinated post buying". Many of the good publishers at that time were also denied. We didn't even get an explanation of what that was. The METABBS team communicates much better now and we have so much more information.
At that time I gave up the quest to make money or to ever cash out and decided to just enjoy what I was doing or not do it. I looked at my funds as nothing more than play money.
We all kept at it and eventually got whitelisted if we weren't spamming and scamming the system. By then my cashable balance had grown slowly and surely. I'm nobody special. I started with $0.50 just like everyone at that time. I still make cashable under today's conditions and hopefully under tomorrow's too but there is no guarantee of that.
In such a short time, I have seen so many changes on BBS Network. I predict that the BBS Network in a year's time will be different too. It will get harder to make money. The money is nice but it's not just about the money.
What we are all learning through our experiences here is invaluable. Among other things, some are learning to be better content creators, some are learning how to make and grow communities, some are learning better English language skills and some are finding their voice. We have a relatively level playing field here that you won't find on any established social media platforms.
So hang in there, keep posting. You can be successful here. Success may just be to post that idea you have and break through the fear of speaking up or to post 3 times a week or to find some time away from your busy life just for one good post every now and then. Share your thoughts, play and enjoy what you're doing here because then you always win! 😊
