Technically, BBS posts are NFTs that are stored on the EOS blockchain. NFTs are usually perceived to be digital assets. Can BBS posts be classified thusly?

Almost a year ago, BBS posts might have been considered digital assets. Back in the day, you could buy a post and get rewarded 50% of the ad revenue. That’s not dissimilar from a billboard, let’s say. Arguably, posts had monetary value, like most NFTs.

Having said that, BBS posts were never like conventional NFTs. They never costed any kind of money to own. The only money you needed was the free community currency.

As of now, I don’t think we can consider BBS posts to be digital assets in the slightest. They have no monetary value.

I am not saying this is good or bad — it’s just an observation.

Let me know your thought. Exciting times ahead.
