Dear BBS members, 

The 18th edition of THE WEEKLY CHAT just ended Sunday 19th of June 2022. 

We have been doing this for a very long time and it is unbelievable how time flies. 

We started as a small group of 2 to 5 people and look at it now, every time at least 20 members are joining and Eyal Hertzog is a permanent member. 

I dare to say that The Weekly Chat is the BBS voice because every member is free to join and ask anything. 

Some users are also asking to be whitelisted in certain communities, but we have mentioned before that our role is not this and we don’t have the power to influence boards to whitelist members. We can advise you about how the process is going on and what you can do to find the way to be whitelisted. 

Here is a piece of advice about this that can help everyone who is not whitelisted, understand the process. 

You can ask to be whitelisted by clicking on the corner from the right side of the page where your community balance is.  

Or , some of the communities have created in the about section a whitelisting post where members can comment to be whitelisted. That post is regularly checked by the admin and the moderators for the new whitelisting requests. 

The process can be longer or shorter depending on :

 So, if you are aware that you have respected the guidelines and you have sent your whitelisting request, then there is no worries about not being whitelisted. Keep engaging on the platform and wait patiently. 

For example, in Metabbs there are going to be new updates and this is a reason for the whitelisting process. 

What  have we  discussed at The Weekly Chat?

When is the app?

As everyone has noticed there have been some big updates on the platform. 

Among others it introduced a Report System for reporting a community, a post or a comment. 

But what’s this have to do with the app?

The answer is simple : any app has to have such a report system in order to be validated and accepted by the app store or android store. 

This is one of the last steps to do before the app will be released. 

The good news from Eyal is that the app will be released soon, maybe even in 2 weeks. There are still things to be fixed, but we are closer than we imagine. 

Why is the 150CPM dropping to 50CPM?

When Eyal showed up , this question was on everyone's lips. 

First he had to mention that we are in a bear market and BBS tokens have been also affected. So, in order to protect the program for Engagement Mining and maintain it for  a long period of time, they had to take the decision to reduce the CPM to 50. 

The old members can remember that we had a start with 150CPM then dropped to 50CPM and when the BBS was listed officially on some exchanges it was increased again to 150CPM. 

Many of us didn’t believe that it would last more than 2 weeks, but we had it for more than 3 months. 

In a past edition of THE WEEKLY CHAT, Eyal was asked : How long will the 150CPM last?

He answered that he has no idea, but depending on circumstances it will be decreased or increased. It looks like everyone forgot this part. 

The CPM will stay like this as long as necessary. In case the price will rise , we might see a new change, until then we have to be thankful for the 50CPM. 

 Eyal said that ``There are good and bad sides , but this is how, you know, it’s always ups and downs``

Presenting the $20 cashable activates actually the left side of your brain - ``the earning survival``- and not the right side of your brain -``the creative one``

Where is everybody from BBS?

The new updates about lowering the CPM made people desert BBS. 

This was a shake for everyone, but as I said before, we should have expected it. 

All in one said , this showed that many people joined here only for the money. We all joined this for the first time. The problem here is that those people were also the people making easy money by posting low content quality with 0 value. 

Yes, it is a drastic shake and the whole engagement and posting  is low, but this will make a good selection of quality content and be ready to attract new and big investors. 

Engagement mining program pilot phase for the communities. 

The qualifications and the new terms for the Engagement mining pilot will be announced soon. They will start a kind of enforcing the new communities. 

An advice for all the communities owners:

The $20 cashable is not a good idea to present it as a motivation to the end of the users that visit that community. It should not be promoted to invite users to earn money . That will generate the wrong kind of audience and automatically the wrong kind of content. This should make the community owners select some of their top users of their community. Based on this, they will be able to whitelist them. 

Community owners should target profit creativity and focus on the best content. That’s a healthy process. 

Good, original and link post. 

We all know that a good and original post is appreciated and should generate a good engagement, but what about a post with a link outside bbs?

An advice for this is that if you post a link to a content that is outside bbs, is a good idea to write the first 2 paragraphs and then write your opinion, sufficient to keep the users for  afew seconds on the page and see something interesting. 

The real value of the post is in the comments section. The comments are unique and this idea should be more encouraged.. The game is about whose post is the most interesting  for the community. 

Eyal mentioned also the term ``reputation point``. You can stake your reputation if you want to publish a post. 

Explanation for this: if you got,  for example 100 views, you get more reputation views. If you think that it will get more, like 130 views, you earn 1 point for each view. , so you increase the prediction of the views. Is like increasing the price, but essentially , you increase your reputation. 

By publishing great posts , the whole community currency will become reputation.
