The processes and environment here on the BBS Network can be a bit mysterious at first. There are a lot of posts with lots of rules and long explanations but it's not really all that complicated underneath it all. Here is a few tips for navigating the BBS Network.

1. Read posts for the community you are in to see what kinds of content are being shared in that community. 

2. Visit the community daily for a week or so.  Each day you will get a little bonus Reputation (RP) just for visiting.

3. When you save up a few bonuses, find a new post that really interests you and Promote it if you have enough RP to stake on it. Newer posts are likely to have a lower cost and someone is likely to promote it again so you get your stake back hopefully with a little extra from the views the post got. This will give you a feel for how the Promotion process works.

4. Comment on posts that interest you. You don't need to say much but try to make it a meaningful comment that's relevant to the post.

5. When you have something to say create a post and publish it. The post doesn't have to be long or perfect to start with. Read the guidelines though to make sure your content is in line with the rules on the board you are posting in because they are all different.

6. Keep reading, commenting, posting and promoting!

7. You may be invited to be a Partner in the community you are contributing to. It's not guaranteed but if you are posting some good content and interacting with others you may be lucky. At that point your posts will earn some actual money.

8. Explore other communities. There are new ones coming up all the time.
