This is huge news for the Green Bay Packers.

The Green Bay Packers face the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving and it looks like they will have RB Josh Jacobs back in the lineup.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Jacobs should be able to play against the Lions.

Jacobs didn't play last week against the Minnesota Vikings. Emanuel Wilson started in his place and played well. He carried the ball 28 times for 107 yards and two touchdowns.

Jacobs has appeared in 10 games this season. He has carried the ball 169 times for 648 yards and 11 touchdowns.

A three-time Pro Bowler, Jacobs is in his second season with the Packers after spending the first five years of his career with the Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders. The one-time All-Pro has 7,522 rushing yards and 72 rushing touchdowns.

Jacobs also has 2,027 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown in the NFL. He's one of the best running backs in the league, which is why the Packers are thrilled Jacobs signed with them.

The Packers are 7-3-1, while the Lions are 7-4. Thursday is one of the biggest games of the season for Green Bay and Detroit. Both teams trail the Chicago Bears in the NFC North. The Bears are 8-3 and face the Philadelphia Eagles on Black Friday.

Entering the Lions game, the Packers are 13th in the NFL in points per game. They are averaging 23.9 points per game.

Green Bay beat Detroit in Week 1. It will be fascinating to see if the Packers can sweep the Lions this season.
