Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson shared his thoughts on facing the Broncos' defense.

The Green Bay Packers are playing at a high level, having won four games in a row. They are in first place in the NFC North after beating the Chicago Bears in Week 14.

Green Bay's schedule isn't getting easier down the stretch as they take on the 11-2 Denver Broncos in a tough matchup on Sunday.

“It’s gonna be a playoff atmosphere, obviously a playoff-caliber defense," wide receiver Christian Watson said about the matchup against Denver.

The Broncos have one of the best defenses in the NFL, and it will be a challenge for the Packers, especially on the road.

However, Green Bay's offense has been better of late, and Watson has been a big part of that. The 26-year-old has only appeared in seven games, as he came back from a torn ACL he suffered at the end of the 2024 season.

Watson's impact has been felt, as he has 25 receptions for 452 yards and five touchdowns. He has proven to be the Packers' best weapon on offense.

In years past, he operated as Green Bay's downfield threat. While Watson still provides that, he has improved drastically as a route-runner and has become quarterback Jordan Love's go-to target.

Watson's progression makes the Packers' early-season decision to extend him on a one-year $13.25 million deal rather than letting him hit free agency this offseason.

However, he will have his toughest matchup against the Broncos, as reigning Defensive Player of the Year Patrick Surtain II will likely be matched up against him. Surtain is a true lockdown corner, and at 6-foot-2, he has the size to match up with the 6-foot-4 Watson.

Love has been playing at a high level all season long, so he may be able to connect with Watson despite the coverage of Surtain.

The 27-year-old quarterback is an MVP candidate, as he's completed 67.1 percent of his passes for 3,028 yards, 22 touchdowns, and four interceptions. He has also rushed for 163 yards.

The Packers and Broncos are two of the best teams in the NFL, and Green Bay will need to rely on Love and Watson's connection to spark the offense.
