Packers' Jordan Love Receives Strong QB Ranking cover image

Green Bay Packers starter Jordan Love is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.

One analyst thinks Green Bay Packers starter Jordan Love is the 11th-best QB in the NFL.

Nick Shook of NFL.com ranked Love 11th in his latest QB rankings.

"Jordan Love isn't loading up the stat sheet every week, but he's producing highlight-worthy plays," Shook wrote. "He made a few standout throws against the Bengals and continues to cause problems for defenses with his legs, although I feel his best is yet to come."

Love has nine passing touchdowns and two interceptions on the season. He's completing 70.1% of his passes. The 26-year-old has thrown for 1,259 yards in five games for the Packers, who are 3-1-1.

Love is healthy again, so he's been able to use his legs more this season to escape pass rushers and throw on the move, something he spoke about after Week 6.

"It puts that extra layer of pressure on the defense," Love said. "That's something that I had to focus on coming into the season was trying to use my legs more and extend some of these plays."

Love threw a bad interception in Week 6 against the Cincinnati Bengals, trying to force the ball into tight coverage. That's something he can't do moving forward.

"We're in field-goal range, we have points, so if it feels like it's going to be a tight window or I'm not very confident in it, just throw it away, live to fight another day," Love said. "Tried to make it happen, didn't work and it came back to bite us on that play. That was the message from the coaches. Just be smart right there."

Love and the Packers face the Arizona Cardinals in Week 7. The Cardinals are only 2-4, so Green Bay will be favored to win that game.

Brett Favre won a title with the Packers. So did Aaron Rodgers. Love is under major pressure to win at least one championship in Green Bay since his predecessors reached the promised land.

The Packers are currently in first place in the NFC North. Love and Co. face Rodgers on October 26. It will be the first time Rodgers faces his old team since getting traded to the New York Jets.
