The Green Bay Packers could add another force to their defensive line at the trade deadline.
The Green Bay Packers have had ups and downs in the 2025-26 season, but stand as the number one seed in the NFC at 4-1-1.
The Packers acquired superstar Micah Parsons before the season started, and it has paid major dividends. Parsons has 5.5 sacks along with five tackles for loss and 13 quarterback hits. The 26-year-old pass rusher is also the only player in the NFL with a 20-plus quarterback pressure percentage and a 20-plus double-teamed percentage this season.
Green Bay's other pass rushers have benefited from Parsons. Rashan Gary has 5.5 sacks as well as five tackles for loss and 11 quarterback hits. Former first-round pick Lukas Van Ness has also shown flashes with 1.5 sacks, three tackles for loss, and six quarterback hits.
On the interior of the defensive line, the Packers have Devonte Wyatt, who has played at a high level when on the field. Wyatt has two sacks, two tackles for loss, and five quarterback hits. Colby Wooden has also played well, especially in Wyatt's absence.
However, to be a Super Bowl contender, the Packers will want to have as much talent as possible. One veteran who could improve Green Bay's defensive line even more is Calais Campbell.
Despite being 39 years old, Campbell is still playing at a high level for the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals are 2-5 and have lost five straight, which could make them sellers at the trade deadline.
The Packers should look to add Campbell to complete their defensive line and become even better at rushing the passer and stopping the run. He also shouldn't cost more than a day three pick due to his age.
In seven games this season, Campbell has posted 19 total tackles, three sacks, five tackles for loss, and nine quarterback hits. The former All-Pro is still a force and would complement Parsons, Gary, Van Ness, and Wyatt well.
Brian Gutekunst and the Packers front office showed they are being aggressive to win now with their trade for Parsons, and should add more at the trade deadline. While they need to address other concerns like cornerback, completing their defensive line could be very impactful come playoff time.
