A promising young defender faces potential trade deadline movement, creating intriguing possibilities for the Green Bay Packers.

The Green Bay Packers very well could be buyers at the 2025 NFL Trade Deadline. They believe they're a team capable of winning the Super Bowl and as long as they have a franchise quarterback in Jordan Love on offense and a highly-paid superstar on defense in Micah Parsons, they're Super Bowl window will likely remain open.

There aren't too many scenarios in which the Packers would be offloading talent at the trade deadline, which is coming up on Tuesday, November 4th, at 4:00 p.m. ET. If they want to make a legitimate run at the Lombardi, they need all the help and all the depth that they can get.

Interestingly enough, though, ESPN does believe there's at least a 25-percent chance that a Packer gets dealt by the deadline. The player in question is not a big name, without a doubt, but he is a great depth player for this defense who is still only 25 years old.

The player that NFL analyst Matt Bowen and national NFL reporter Jeremy Fowler believe could be traded is fourth-year EDGE Kingsley Enagbare.

"Enagbare started in 2024 but felt the squeeze of the Micah Parsons trade, getting relegated to a reserve role. While Green Bay typically likes to keep its draft-and-develop talent, Enagbare probably would welcome the chance to play more elsewhere in a contract year," Fowler wrote.

Bowen relayed that Enagbare can be a decent rotational edge defender, and two teams were mentioned as possible fits. Those teams are the San Francisco 49ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Frankly, the haul coming back to Green Bay would have to be monstrous in order for the Packers to trade Enagbare to two NFC contenders. The 49ers are currently directly behind the top-seeded Packers in the NFC and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the fourth-seed in the conference.

There's just no way the Packers would want to help either of those two teams. It would be almost as bad a trading him within the NFC North.

The only other realistic scenario for a trade to either of those teams would be if the Packers can get back a corner, which is arguably a dramatic need on this defense. The 49ers, frankly, don't have a player worth trading for. As far as the Bucs are concerned, only corner Jamel Dean would be worth it, but there'd be almost no scenario in which Tampa would trade Dean to the Packers for Enagbare straight-up.

Yes, the Packers have two great EDGE players in Micah Parsons and Rashan Gary, not to mention Lukas Van Ness, but solid depth is a luxury that most playoff teams can't afford to lose in the NFL.

It's an interesting though, but more than likely, Enagbare is going to be staying put.
