Two more PSG stars are sidelined after an aggressive French Cup clash, deepening injury woes.
Paris Saint-Germain emerged qualified but not unscathed from the trip in the Coupe de France with two more injured players, fortunately not too seriously.
PSG finished the year 2025 with a trophy and a qualification in the Coupe de France, but its last two matches nonetheless resulted in no fewer than four injuries. Lee Kang-in suffered a muscular injury during the Club World Cup against Flamengo, while the hero of that match, Matvey Safonov, actually broke his hand during the game, which did not prevent him from shining until the end.
This Saturday night in Nantes, against the amateurs of Fontenay (4-0), two more PSG players ended the match injured. Young David Boly, who was celebrating his first professional appearance, was hit several times by very hard tackles from amateurs and had to leave the match in tears after barely half an hour. PSG communicated on his case, stating the 16-year-old right-back, "victim of a blow to the ankle, will remain under care this week."
A lesser evil, but a debut ruined by the opponents' poorly controlled aggression and refereeing complacency. However, it was not the blows from opponents that injured Quentin Ndjantou this Saturday; instead, the versatile 18-year-old offensive player "is suffering from discomfort in the hamstrings. Additional exams are scheduled in the coming days."
Two minor injuries, therefore, and a possible presence as early as the resumption of training at the end of December for the two youngsters whom Luis Enrique has fully integrated into his professional group for a few weeks now. Respectively, Bradley Barcola and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who were fatigued and sick, should also be largely recovered for this return in eight days.
