Considering everything that Dave Dombrowski has said for the Philadelphia Phillies since the season ended about Rangers Suarez, it’s safe to say that he won't return to the organization.

Of course, we can never count Domrowski out when it comes to making these types of deals, as he's one of the best in baseball at accomplishing that, but Suarez might not be the Phillies’ first priority.

If he doesn't have the market he's looking for, no matter the reason, it's possible the Phillies could get involved again, but as of now, it seems increasingly likely that he's going to be pitching for a different team in 2026.

One of the better left-handers in baseball, Suarez finds himself in a good spot to get a nice deal.

    But with who?

The San Francisco Giants have been one of the more polarizing teams in Major League Baseball over the past few years. At times, they've proven that they can be above average, and they've also gone star hunting, making a blockbuster deal for Rafael Devers.

They’re clearly looking to win after hiring Tony Vitello. Chris Landers of FanSided predicted that’s where he’d up due to some of those factors.

“Like, for example, San Francisco. The Giants could sure use another starter behind Logan Webb and Robbie Ray, and I think their desperation to get back to the postseason in 2026 makes them the best bet to go whole hog for someone like Suarez — whose shorter track record might scare some other suitors away. Plus, a ground-ball pitcher could do a lot worse than an infield including both Willy Adames and Matt Chapman,” he wrote.

Suarez is coming off a season where he dealt with some injuries, but he was also one of the better starters in baseball just the year prior.

He earned his first and only All-Star nod during the 2024 campaign, really throwing the baseball at a high level, especially in the first half.

Throughout the 2024 campaign, he posted a 3.46 ERA in 150.2 Innings.

With the obvious need for starting pitching in San Francisco, he’d be a great addition to what the Giants are looking to build.
