Lily Wright came into 2025 swinging and striking gold with “Rookie of the Year” at the Xtreme Barrel Racing Series.

Being born into the Wright Family doesn’t make you a star from birth but Lily has certainly taken the talent from her family genes and added to the family’s legacy with her own style and skill. In just her first year on the Xtreme Barrel Racing Series circuit the 16yr old sister of Rusty, Ryder, Statler and Stetson Wright, came in and took the world by storm winning “Rookie of the Year” and taking home a nice payday with her winning runs.

In 2025, Lily pocketed $33,910.00 in just a handful of events, all on 2 horses owned by her brother, “Superman” Stetson Wright. Her trusty steeds “Fabulous Golden Honey” ($21,356) and “MJ Hondo Lane” ($12,554) carried her to the top while she showed her prowess and skills on the arena dirt of the Xtreme Barrel Race Series arenas. Wright consistently placed in the money during her three Xtreme events and two Xtreme Mini-Million comps propelling her to take the coveted title of “Rookie of the Year”, setting her up for continues success in her future years.

As the young champion is just starting her career as a force-to-be-reckoned with we are eagerly watching 2026 unfold for Lily and what she is going to accomplish this year. In a family like the Wrights, she has the nothing but the stars to reach for, this year at the NFR in Las Vegas her 3 brothers dominated the Bareback Bronc, Saddle Back Bronc and Bull Riding events to keep the family’s legacy in the spotlight. The Wright siblings are all children of the 2x PRCA World Champion Saddle Bronc Rider, Cody Wright, and they show no signs of slowing down. Lily is walking in stride of the family’s footsteps in Rodeo, but she also has a talent for acting as she will be starring in up-coming rodeo film “Outriding the Devil” due out soon. With the achievements of these young stars who knows, maybe we will see 5 Wright siblings all compete in the NFR at the same time! The Wright Dynasty continues to dominate in the Rodeo world and Lily is the newest member to carry on the dreams.

The Xtreme Barrel Racing events are a culmination of dreams by the Burns family out of Salina, Utah. Started in 1993 in the Blackhawk arena, the program continues to take Barrel Racing to higher levels and growing the sport with innovative ideas like “SaddleBook”. In 2018 the Burns Events, a family run business, partnered with Paul Hanson to create the game-changing on-line booking system SaddleBook which lets the competitors have control of their booking of events. All in all with amazing athletes and ground breaking ideas the Xtreme Barrel Racing program by Burns Events is going to be capturing the attention of the rodeo world for the foreseeable future.
