Cowboys and cowgirls have been racking up major wins this weekend, leading to some big changes to the World standings, especially within the rough stock events.
As the summer rodeo season continues, each weekend brings news of big wins and bigger payouts, meaning the PRCA World Standings are almost constantly changing. Over this past weekend, many records were set across the country, a myriad of cowboys and cowgirls adding major checks to their season earnings. These additions made ig changes to the World Standings, especially with the standings across the rough stock events.
Bareback Bronc rider Cooper Cooke made headlines this weekend with two back-to-back wins at both the Snake River Stampede and Silver State Stampede, adding to his season totals. Earning over $16,000 in a single weekend, Cooke gained nearly 20% of his season earnings before going into this weekend of competition. This massive addition boosted him to climb four slots, now claiming the No. 5 spot in the World Standings.
Weekends of this caliber don’t come around every day, and it certainly isn’t attained through luck. Cooper is an outstanding bronc rider who had already put together a solid season prior to this weekend. Cooke was simply able to bring his best to the dirt, making the weekend a huge success.
This rider is sure to continue producing big wins throughout the season and is likely to be found at the yellow chutes of the NFR in December. A great weekend is sure to propel him further and he continues his summer season.
Subsequently, the bull riding PRCA World Standings also saw some major changes over the weekend. 2026 PBR World Champion, John Crimber, has already been making headlines during his rookie season in the PRCA, and this weekend is no different. With a 90.5-point ride on Black Jack at the Reno Rodeo, Crimber took an early lead in the event. As he already holds the No. 7 position, John Crimber is sure to continue producing big scores and big wins as he works toward the NFR.
However, as much as Crimber lives at the top, another PRCA bull rider had a huge weekend of winning. T.J. Gray walked into this weekend’s competitions holding the No. 22 spot for bull riding. However, with two huge wins over the weekend, he jumped an astonishing 10 spots, now holding the No. 12 slot.
This massive weekend was started with an impressive 91.5-point ride at the Reno Rodeo Xtreme Bulls to earn him over $18,000. The following day, he also competed at the Snake River Stampede. As the only qualified ride in the final round of the event, Gray collected another win with an additional $11,000 in his pocket.
Overall, this was an incredible weekend that catapulted T.J. Gray in the PRCA World standings, not only earning him nearly $30,000 in two days, but also giving him a qualifying spot for the Wrangler National Finals. If he is able to continue riding as well as he did over this past weekend, there’s little doubt that the 2025 NFR Average winner will be returning for another year.
