Chelsea fans have unleashed a torrent of criticism against Cole Palmer after the midfielder failed to score or assist in the Blues' last two Premier League matches: a 1-1 draw with Burnley and a loss to Arsenal.

The Englishman's performance has been the subject of intense scrutiny. Fans took to social media to express their frustration, accusing Palmer of playing for himself and lacking team spirit.

JnR wrote: "I don't want to see Cole Palmer starting against Aston Villa; he plays alone. Great play: Chalobah gives the ball to Joao Pedro, passes it to James, and in and out with Neto. Chelsea has two players waiting at the back post for a first-class cross after a Reece overlap."

Omar added, "He has always played for himself, but lately it hasn't been productive, so it looks bad. This has empowered him, and nobody seems to want to stop him. He is not a team player."

Siradj said, "Literally not even a professional footballer; he is by far the most useless and overrated No. 10 I have seen; his performance last night was a terrible experience."

Prince Mwiti commented, "Thank God, people are starting to see that, since Palmer returned, we started losing and drawing matches. The superstar effect is starting to devour him little by little."

PTO wrote: "Apart from the refereeing, Palmer is the next big problem to solve. Why does he always start and let the bad ones drop? At this point, please give Garnacho freedom to prepare for the rest of the season."

Who Knows added: "Palmer never stays behind. He wants his teammates to run for the ball so he can give it to them and shine for Tuchel, for the World Cup squad! Injuries, a demon!"

WRBLO said, "I know it's normal to lose form and that losing it can be temporary, so I can't be hard on Palmer. But I can't deny that he plays as if he's not focused. He has lost his appetite, his carelessness has increased, and he doesn't look happy."

Simon concluded: "Cole Palmer, even if we support him ... the kid is destroying the team spirit and morale."
