The Monegasque won a British GP full of incidents, with Russell and Hamilton completing the podium. Antonelli had problems when running second and dropped to 16th position.

Charles Leclerc achieved his first victory of the season at the British Grand Prix, the Ferrari driver won at Silverstone after a chaotic race marked by incidents, Virtual Safety Cars and a finish under the Safety Car that neutralized the last lap. Kimi Antonelli, who started from pole, had mechanical problems when running second and dropped to sixteenth position while George Russell (Mercedes) and Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari) completed the podium.

The race began with Antonelli losing positions at the start, overtaken by the two Ferraris. Leclerc took the lead and Hamilton moved to second but a five second penalty for the Briton for jumping the start complicated his race. Antonelli took advantage to overtake Hamilton and move to second but could not close the gap to Leclerc.

Franco Colapinto staged a great comeback, the Argentine from Alpine started from nineteenth position and in just two laps had climbed to fourteenth place, overtaking several rivals in the first laps. The Argentine continued his progression and managed to get into the points finishing ninth, his fifth top 10 result of the season.

Sergio PƩrez, for his part, had a complicated weekend at Silverstone, the Mexican from Cadillac finished in fifteenth position after a race in which he could not find the pace needed to fight for points. PƩrez stayed in the midfield for much of the race but could not overtake his direct rivals.

The race took a decisive turn on lap 41 when Antonelli reported problems on his Mercedes and pitted to change his front wing and tires. The difficulties continued and he stopped again to remove a deflector from the left front wheel, dropping to tenth position and losing all his chances of victory.

On lap 48 Max Verstappen went off track at Stowe corner and got stuck in the gravel, causing the Safety Car to come out. Almost all drivers took the opportunity to pit and fit soft tires but Mercedes decided to keep Russell on track, allowing him to move to second between the two Ferraris.

Race Control announced that the race would resume for one final lap, but ultimately the Safety Car remained until the checkered flag, securing Leclerc's victory. Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad (Racing Bulls) finished sixth and seventh, followed by Gabriel Bortoleto (Audi), Colapinto and Pierre Gasly (Alpine).

Antonelli dropped from ninth to sixteenth due to a five second penalty for exceeding track limits.
