Former Ohio State Buckeyes Are All Over NFL Divisional Weekend cover image

The NFL Divisional Round is here and Buckeyes will be making key plays throughout each and every game!

The Ohio State Buckeyes football program has become the gold standard for NFL player development. It isn't just wide receivers anymore; it is players at every position at every level making plays on Sundays.

On Saturday, the NFL Divisional round kicks off, and there will be Buckeyes all over the field, making big plays.

Saturday 4:30 PM Bills vs. Broncos

While all eyes will be on Bills quarterback Josh Allen as he tries to make a heroic run through the Playoffs this year. He will get the help of Ohio State, but only on the defensive side of the ball.

Joey Bosa has turned the clock back in Buffalo and has put together a very solid season for the Bills. He has five sacks on the season and five forced fumbles. He has the ability to change a football game, and if there is anything we know about playoff football its that one play could be the difference. Behind him is rookie Jordan Hancock, who is in his first playoff run and made a few tackles last week in Jacksonville.

On the other side, it's only one Buckeye and it's linebacker Jonothan Cooper who has eight sacks on the season. He has been a bright spot for one of the best defenses in the NFL and will be looking to stop Josh Allen.

Saturday 8:00 PM 49ers vs. Seahawks

Oh man, this game is going to be amazing, and there will be plenty of Buckeyes everywhere on the field.

The headliner for the 49ers would have been Joey Bosa if it weren't for a season ending ACL injury that he suffered earlier in the year. Instead, it is tight end Luke Farrell who has been decent this year. Two of his 11 catches have gone for touchdowns, and he has been a really great blocker for San Francisco.

For Seattle, it's all Jaxon Smith-Njigba tonight. He has been the best wide receiver in the NFL this year, and they need him to be great on Saturday night. He is the lone Buckeye on this team, but could be the guy who makes the biggest impact on the outcome.

Sunday 3:00 PM Patriots vs. Texans

The Buckeye Bowl in Foxboro, Massachusetts.

Both of these teams are littered with Buckeyes, with the headliners being CJ Stroud and TreVeyon Henderson. Stroud needs to be great for Houston if they want to go to the AFC Championship game, and he hasn't been this year.

Henderson is the home run running back for New England, and when he gets his chance, he is liable to go for a huge touchdown.

Cade Stover joins Stroud on the Texans offense, but one of the sneakiest, most impactful players for Houston is defensive tackle Tommy Togia. Togia has been a very solid player for Houston and will be tasked with stopping the Patriots.

Sunday 6:30 PM Rams vs. Bears

The capper to the Divisional Weekend has the least amount of Buckeyes in it. For LA, it is just defensive tackle Ty Hamilton who will rotate on the interior for the Rams and will be battling Jonah Jackson in Chicago.

It will be Buckeye on Buckeye crime in this one.
