Franco Colapinto anticipates a demanding weekend in Shanghai with Alpine and looks to continue his adaptation to Formula 1 at a circuit that returns to the calendar.

Franco Colapinto is already turning his attention to the next stop on the Formula 1 calendar. After the start of the season, the Alpine driver is preparing to face the Chinese Grand Prix, an event that appears as a new test in his adaptation process within the category.

The Shanghai International Circuit will once again host the top tier of motorsport and represents a particular scenario for drivers. With very different sectors from one another and long straights that usually favor overtaking, the layout requires finding the right balance in the single-seater’s setup.

Ahead of the event, Colapinto spoke about what he expects from the weekend and made it clear that the objective will be to continue progressing with the team. The Argentine highlighted that every race is an opportunity to gain experience and better understand how the car works.

The season is just beginning and each circuit offers different challenges. For Alpine, these early rounds are key to gathering information and working on the development of the single-seater throughout the championship. In that context, the drivers’ input is essential to interpret the data obtained on track.

Colapinto emphasized that the team remains focused on improving with every run on track. Preparation for Shanghai includes analyzing what happened in the previous race and adjusting different aspects to face the new weekend with a stronger working foundation.

The Argentine driver also pointed out that the Chinese circuit presents characteristics that force teams to adapt quickly. The long straights and corners of varying speeds make the car’s configuration decisive to maintain a competitive pace throughout the lap.

In addition to the main race, every session of the weekend will be an opportunity to keep accumulating mileage. Practice sessions and qualifying allow teams to test different setups and gather valuable information that is later used to optimize the car’s performance.

From Alpine, they are confident about continuing to move forward in their development process. The team is looking to consolidate its work in this early stage of the season and use every race as an opportunity to improve its overall performance.

In that context, the Chinese Grand Prix appears as a new chapter in the championship. For Colapinto it will be another opportunity to keep growing within Formula 1 and to contribute his work to the Alpine project.

With his focus set on Shanghai, the Argentine driver approaches the challenge with the intention of continuing to adapt to the category and to keep gaining experience in every run on track during this season.
