Lewis Hamilton was the fastest on the final day of testing in Barcelona and wrapped up the test with Ferrari on top after an intense session.

The fourth and final day of the Barcelona Test concluded with a session that allowed teams to wrap up an intense week of work in Formula 1. With favorable track conditions toward the end of the day, several drivers took advantage to complete final simulations and set representative lap times before bringing the private tests to a close.

The fastest time of the day belonged to Lewis Hamilton, who at the wheel of the Ferrari SF-26 posted a 1:16.348. The Brit completed 67 laps and topped the timesheets in a run carried out with the track in its best condition, allowing him to finish the test as Friday’s quickest reference.

Behind Hamilton was Lando Norris with McLaren. The British driver once again showed consistency and regularity, completing 86 laps and finishing just over two tenths off the best time. Third place went to Charles Leclerc, also with Ferrari, who closed the day with 80 laps and confirmed a positive overall balance for the Italian team at the end of testing.

Oscar Piastri finished fourth in the second McLaren, while Max Verstappen ended the day in fifth with Red Bull. The Dutchman was one of the drivers who logged the most laps during the session, accumulating 118 laps in a program clearly focused on long runs and reliability rather than chasing a fast lap.

Alpine once again stood out for sheer volume of running, with Pierre Gasly completing 164 laps, the highest total of the day. Haas also enjoyed a productive session, with Esteban Ocon and Ollie Bearman each surpassing 80 laps as they continued developing their technical package.

Audi wrapped up its participation with Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto, both focused on adding mileage and validating systems. Aston Martin, meanwhile, once again had Fernando Alonso on track, completing 61 laps to continue gathering information following his return to action. Cadillac closed the day with Valtteri Bottas, who logged 54 laps in what is still an early stage of the project.

With the end of the fourth day, the Barcelona Test was officially brought to a close. Ferrari finished on top in the final session, McLaren showed consistency throughout the week, and Mercedes, although it did not lead on Friday, maintained a solid base across all the tests.
