Roberto De Zerbi’s ambitious rebuild intensifies as Spurs launch a blockbuster pursuit of the prolific Nigerian marksman to spearhead a new-look attack at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly said to be looking at a summer move for Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen, with Roberto De Zerbi continuing to reshape his squad before the new Premier League season.
Last week, Roberto De Zerbi said the club wants to sign two or three more players, especially to strengthen the attack. Now, several reports suggest Spurs are interested in bringing the prolific forward to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
CaughtOffside reports that Tottenham have made early offers between £50 million and £55 million, but Galatasaray value Osimhen at closer to £65 million. Transfer news expert Ekrem Konur confirmed on X, formerly Twitter, “Tottenham have made an initial approach worth £50M-£55M for Galatasaray striker Osimhen! The Turkish champions want close to £65M.”
Many clubs are interested in the Nigerian striker, including Manchester United, Chelsea, and Atlético Madrid. Osimhen is considered one of Europe's top strikers after several great seasons in Serie A with Napoli before his big-money move to Turkey.
Galatasaray paid Napoli €75 million for Osimhen in July 2025, setting a Turkish transfer record. He signed a four-year deal, which gives Galatasaray a strong position in negotiations. After Spurs' victory over Chelsea in Sydney, Roberto De Zerbi addressed rumours that striker Richarlison may leave the club this summer.
Spurs have been linked with a host of forwards so far as the club continues its rebuild, and the striker position is a priority. Osimhen would give De Zerbi a dynamic striker who can stretch defences, attack crosses, and lead the press up front. His signing would point to De Zerbi’s comments on the need to have 2 players in every position competing to help drive the club back up the Premier League.
Osimhen is known for his speed, strength, and movement in the box, making him one of the most feared strikers in Europe. He would give Spurs a proven goal scorer who can finish chances and create space for teammates.
Richarlison’s future could also impact this transfer. De Zerbi has praised the Brazilian’s attitude and goal scoring, but says Tottenham must respect his wishes. If Richarlison leaves, Spurs would need to sign another experienced striker. Osimhen could be a game-changing addition and would likely become De Zerbi’s main striker. However, Osimhen has a long contract, a high salary, and a key role at Galatasaray, meaning any deal would be large. Tottenham, however, are operating at a different level this summer with major signings of Mateus Fernandes, Jan Paul van Hecke, and Sandro Tonali.
Interest from Manchester United, Chelsea, or Atlético Madrid could strengthen Galatasaray’s position and might push the asking price higher than what is currently being reported.
