It's all hands on deck for the Toronto Blue Jays as they try to win their first World Series title in 32 years. They take on the defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1 on Friday night, and shortstop Bo Bichette is back on the active roster.
The 27-year-old Bichette was having a great season, batting .311 with 18 home runs and 94 RBIs before going down on Sept. 6 with a knee injury sustained when sliding into home plate.
He hinted during the ALCS series against Seattle that he might be ready to go. And on Friday, the Blue Jays made it official. Here's the story from Blue Jays Roundtable publisher Brady Farkas, with the roster move and what it might mean for Toronto during the series

Toronto manager John Schneider met with the media Thursday and was optimistic that Bichette could help out. Now that's going to happen.
"He's continuing to make progress," Schneider told reporters. "He's going to do that again (Thursday), hit live. He's taking ground balls, running. He's going to do more of the same today, so you guys will see him out there.
"He's feeling good, which is nice, but there are still a few more boxes to check."
The starting lineups were announced just before 4 p.m. ET, and Bichette is in the lineup. He's batting fourth, but playing second base instead of shortstop. The game starts at 8 p.m. ET at t he Rogers Centre in Toronto. Game 2 is Saturday night before the series shifts to Los Angeles.
The Dodgers announced their World Series roster on Friday afternoon as well. Veteran pitcher Clayton Kershaw, who is retiring after this season, is on the roster. There were several players who played big roles all season that aren't on the roster.
Here's the story on all the Dodgers moves from Dodgers Roundtable reporter Anthony Arroyo.
