Brent Rooker Missing Second Straight Game

After the A's lineup was posted, a number of people on social media began wondering why Brent Rooker was out of the starting lineup for a second straight day, given that he's been hitting the ball a little better of late.

Well, Martín Gallegos dropped an update ahead of Wednesday's game.

This doesn't read as the best news, given that it's at least possible he ends up on the IL for the second time this season. We'll have to wait until Friday to see if the A's make a move. If they do, the corresponding move would likely end up being the return of Jacob Wilson.

With the DH spot effectively open at that point, they could slow-play his playing time if needed.
